Comcast Digital Literacy

The Comcast Digital Literacy program trains low-income high school students to become proficient in basic computer and internet skills.  Once students have completed training, then go out into their own communities to teach what they have learned.  In the spring of 2014, the students presented their knowledge framed around the topic of cyber bullying and internet safety to a number of community organizations. They have presented workshops to students at the University of Hartford and Trinity College. Most recently, the students presented at the May All Corps Conference for Teach for America Connecticut.  The students plan to continue spreading this information through upcoming workshops with Urban League of Greater Hartford GED students, local elementary schools, libraries and churches.
