The Urban League is a multi-service agency. Our mission is to promote the self-empowerment of individuals in the Connecticut Capital region to achieve educational, occupational and economic equality for themselves and their families. We implement our mission through direct program services, advocacy, research and building across racial and ethnic boundaries. Our services include employability skills training, occupational skills training and the construction trades. We partner with employers both local and state wide. These types of partnerships allow the Urban League to be a viable arm in the community that we serve.

The majority of our customers are from the Greater Hartford area and surrounding towns.
In fiscal year 2009-2010, we provided employment services to over 65 individuals.
