The Center for Financial Literacy, Asset Building & Homeownership is dedicated to promoting equal housing opportunities for low to moderate income residents of Connecticut's Capital Region.
Last year, 283 participants purchased their first home. Classes and/or one-on-one counseling in homebuyer education Money management and credit repair/credit management Foreclosure prevention Eviction prevention Earned income tax preparation services Special savings incentive programs such as; Individual Development Accounts (IDAs); a matching savings program.
