Workforce Development

Workplace skills, occupational training, certifications, and licenses, lead to employment opportunities that help residents of the Capital Region enter and progress in the job market.

Employment serves as the lynchpin for the Urban League movement, leveraging education and leading to wealth building. We help residents gain the skills, training, and connections they need to secure good jobs and enjoy lasting careers. We fulfill our mission to advance economic self-reliance by addressing barriers to employment and partnering with employers to create pathways to stability, growth, and prosperity.

Annual Employment Empowerment Expo

The Employment Empowerment Expo is one of the region’s premier career and networking events, connecting jobseekers with top employers and workforce resources. More than a job fair, the Expo empowers 300 participants with workshops and direct access to hiring managers across multiple industries. By bridging opportunity and talent, we help residents take the next step toward meaningful employment and long-term career growth.
