April 24: Urban League of Greater Hartford's Free Wellness Wednesday!


On Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Urban League of Greater Hartford will hold its annual Wellness Wednesday event that promotes Health and Fitness for all ages. The free event will take place in the Urban League of Greater Hartford’s Parking Lot at 140 Woodland St. in Hartford (at the corner of Woodland St. and Sargeant St.)

The event’s objective is to boost health and fitness with community partners through the Eight (8) Dimensions of Wellness: Physical; Social; Emotional; Intellectual; Environmental; Financial; Occupational; and Spiritual.

  • Live Cooking Demonstration (5:30 p.m.)

  • Ask the Doc your Medical Questions

  • Health Screenings

  • Personal Trainer Tips & Techniques

  • Zumba Fitness & Line Dancing

  • Community Resources Tables/Information to date include Girl Scouts of CT; Hartford Health Initiative, Inc.; Hartford Public Library; Movin’ 2 Educate, Inc.; Access Health CT; Powell Health & Powell Mental Health; New England Donor Services; Hartford Marathon Foundation; Cocovonday Naturals; CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC); Careforth; Seek Therapy Now; Hartford Police; and UCONN Health; and Muscular Puzzles Therapy.
